The Staten Island Ferry
The Staten Island Ferry is a ferry system in New York City that transported people between Manhattan and its future boroughs long before any bridges were built.
The Staten Island Ferry provides 22 million people a year with around 70,000 passengers a day not including weekend days. The ferry service runs between St. George on Staten Island and Whitehall Street in lower Manhattan.
Monday - Sunday
24 Hours a Day
(running every 15 or 20 minutes,) is provided on the weekdays during the rush hours of 6:00AM- 9:30AM and 3:30PM-8:00PM.
On weekends, service is provided every 30 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays, please check the website Schedules for more information
