Stormont Estate
The Stormont Estate is an Estate located East of Belfast in County Down in Northern Ireland. The site holds Northern Ireland's main government buildings, which are then surrounded by woods and parkland. Sir Arnold Thornely who was knighted by King George V in recognition of his architectural work designed the building. The building is 365ft wide with perfect symmetry and symbolism. Its has six floors and six pillars at the entrance one for each county in Northern Ireland.
Visitors can take a free tour of the building and explore the beautiful surroundings of the Stormont Estate.
